Van den Bosch has passed the triennial SQAS audit with flying colours, scoring an impressive 94%. ‘We are extremely proud of this result, which shows that quality and safety are embedded throughout the organisation,’ said Frank van den Tillaar, QESH Manager at Van den Bosch.
SQAS is a standard developed by CEFIC (European Chemical Industry Council) to ensure that transport and storage of chemical goods is carried out safely and properly in line with environmental requirements. With the SQAS audit consisting of over 400 different items, the SQAS score is widely accepted in the chemical industry as an important selection criterion for logistics service providers.
Quality and safety
The score of 94 represents a considerable improvement on the previous audit, with Safety, supplier monitoring and environmental policy improving significantly as part of Operation Clean Sweep. Van den Tillaar: ‘We’re extremely pleased to see our hard work rewarded with this fantastic score. It shows that quality and safety play a major role in our organisation.’
