The latest edition of our Game Changer magazine is an extra special one: an unique anniversary edition to mark our 60th anniversary which we are celebrating this year. This edition is packed with inspiring stories, old photographs and interviews with people who have played an important role over the past six decades.
We speak to 'Early retirees from Van den Bosch', for instance. Between them, this club of former colleagues put in nearly three hundred years of service. We follow the route of our legendary trip to the Iranian capital Tehran in 1975, talk to our long-time partner Neste Demeter and take a look back at everything we have transported over the years. Van den Bosch has passed the triennial SQAS audit with flying colours, scoring an impressive 94 per cent. ‘We are extremely proud of this result, which shows that quality and safety are embedded throughout the organisation,’ said Frank van den Tillaar, QESH Manager at Van den Bosch.

Van den Bosch is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary
Van den Bosch will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary in October 2024. The company was founded in 1964 by Ad van den Bosch. Starting off with just a single truck, he laid the foundations for today's organisation. Six decades later, Van den Bosch has grown into a world player in intermodal bulk logistics, with branches in Europe, Africa and beyond.

Serbia is also benefitting from intermodal bulk transport
Van den Bosch has successfully converted a number of flows to and from Serbia from road to intermodal bulk transport. Through intensive collaboration with two local parties and the use of silo containers, the logistics service-provider has not only increased efficiency for its customers but also reduced CO2 emissions.

Progress for UNICEF in Ivory Coast
UNICEF has made great progress with the Recycling Plastic, Creating Schools programme in Ivory Coast. Thanks in part to Van den Bosch's support, 359 classrooms have now been built. As a result, 17,950 children have been provided with access to education.

Supply chain optimisation in East Africa
The vegetable oil industry in Kenya and elsewhere is growing incredibly fast. But despite increasing global demand for vegetable oils, their supply chain is barely growing with it. Tens of millions of litres are still being exported annually to Europe in flexitanks. Van den Bosch is now taking the first steps towards transferring this volume to sustainable ISO tank transport in order to optimise the supply chain.

Van den Bosch extends partnership with UNICEF
Van den Bosch and UNICEF Netherlands are extending their long-standing partnership by two years. Support will continue to go to the innovative recycling programme Recycling Plastic, Creating Schools in Ivory Coast, formerly known as Plastic Bricks. What’s new is the programme, Climate Smart Villages in Madagascar, which Van den Bosch is committing to for the next two years.
